and visitor landmark
focal point in a transportation-themed rail park in the Red Deer
region
(to be operated by a not-for-profit
corporation separate from the Forth Junction Heritage Society)
Western
Canada's only Community Entertainment Centre
based on
Rail, Transit & Trail Heritage
a big, bold, fun, interactive, multi-activity,
world-class attraction in
a landmark 100,000 sq. ft. building (as
the focal point for a variety
of historic sites and venues
throughout Central Alberta)
celebrating the settlement and economic development of Western Canada
highlighting the role of
trains,
trails and transit

large round multi-storey,
multi-functional community
gathering place and the focal point of the
Forth Junction Community Heritage Rail Park
that could include:
- Indoor Turntable
- Dual Atrium Entranceway with
Water Feature
- The Classic Railway Diner/Cafe

Exhibits
featuring the role of trails, trains and transit in
the prairie
economy from 1885 extending into the future with attractors
that could include:
- Transportation
Heritage Interpretive Centre
- Wagons, Rails and Transit Heritage

overlooking the natural and built
landscape within or in close

Inspiration for this element of the overall rail
park has come from several sources including Heritage Park in
Calgary, West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish BC, 3 Valley
Gap near Revelstoke BC, Canadian Museum of Rail Travel in Cranbrook
BC, Exporail in Montreal, B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, MD
